XR Terra’s Pitch Deck Workshop is a workshop that shows students how to use web-accessible AI tools on their browser to create a pitch deck presentation!
We place heavy emphasis on the design process, encouraging students to edit the output of the AI. Students generate a pitch outline using ChatGPT, make sure to edit the outline for greater human input, then use the outline as a prompt for Gamma.app, a tool that allows students to edit the generated presentation using typical presentation editing tools.
This course is ideal for students in grades 6 through 12 to introduce AI’s usefulness.

ChatGPT is a tool that can be used for free to have conversations and to generate outlines. We teach students how to put as much human input into the prompt for the most useful output, and how to check the results for inaccuracies.
Gamma.app is a website that allows you to quickly generate a slide deck from a prompt, then edit the results using their web-based tools. It is a good example of a tool that saves you time but still allows for user creativity and customization.
